At Derby…AGAIN???
Just shows how fucked up and fickle football in England is, when someone as useless as McClaren gets ANOTHER go at managing a football club who only sacked him a couple of years ago, you would have thought after being sacked there once before and what he did to Newcastle no one would go near him.
Surprised Roy hasn’t got another high paying high profile job after his England exploits.
Mind you I often wonder who the real mug is, wont be long before McClaren has given his bank balance a huge boost with another termination payment, so certainly not him!

You would think that all of Alex Fergusons old Assistants would have learnt something about management but both McClaren and Brian Kidd have been hopeless, Mike Phelan could probably go the same way and Carlos Queiroz manages Iran!! Bodes well for Giggs!

Don't know if anyone saw this, he was on some foreign TV channel talking about the West Ham v Chelsea game.
His words when Adrian got booted by Costa after taking his time in the area with the ball. 'Any keeper who does that deserves to get a kick'.
My thoughts were it was a good bit of skill and Costa should have been sent off
The guys an Idiot! Derby are idiots as well.

Depends on the expectations you start with, doesn't it? From mid-table to being unlucky not to be promoted first season, fell away a bit at the end of the second, and he spent pretty much nothing to achieve that.
I think I'm right that since he left they've spent 30m since he left on players and find themselves in 20th place!!!

Did great at Derby before - an absolute no-brainer for them. Still a good coach. Not convinced the troubles at Newcastle were that much down to him. What is fickle is writing off a coach.

Can't believe they'd want him back after what happened last time - he turned them from promotion favourites to missing out on the play offs in the space of about 3 months
No idea how he keeps getting work - one season in holland and one decent season for boro (after being given a ridiculous amount to spend) aside, his track record is quite atrocious

He was sacked. His desperation to leave for Newcastle was considered a factor but it was also largely down to the fact that he had completely fucked up a promising league position when the pressure was on.
